The City of Omaha has taken an aggressive approach towards fighting graffiti and has gone through many growing pains. We have become effective because of our strategic implementation plan, dedicated staff, and collaborating with our community partners. We want to share what we have learned and invite you and anyone in you association to attend the Heartland Anti-Graffiti Symposium.

This symposium offers an opportunity to learn more about operating an effective anti-graffiti program. Our partner for this event is the Graffiti Consultants’ own Rick Stanton, a graffiti abatement expert and consultant with 17 years of experience fighting graffiti. Over the two day symposium Rick will cover the “Ten Steps to a Graffiti Free City,” including topics like how to conduct a citywide assessment, recruit volunteers, establish effective ordinances, and much more. City of Omaha Staff and our Community Partners will also share real-life experiences and implementation strategies during this interactive experience.

The symposium will be held on May 13 and 14, 2014 at the Scott Conference Center in Omaha, Nebraska.  The cost for the symposium is $99 for pre-registration and $149 after April 28, 2014. The City of Omaha would like to offer the opportunity to participate in this event with the members of your organization and would kindly ask that you share this information to your members and also place it on your organization’s calendar. The enclosed flier provides the detailed information of the symposium agenda, registration and hotel information. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our Graffiti Abatement Coordinator,  Kayleen Young at 402-444-5245 or or The Graffiti Consultant, Rick Stanton at 408-206-4259 or
