TAX MODERNIZATION COMMITTEE FINAL PUBLIC HEARINGS

Lincoln, NE – State Senator Galen Hadley, Chair of the Tax Modernization Committee, has released a
reminder that the two final public hearings to be held by the Committee will be in Omaha and
Lincoln.

Thursday, October 17, 1:30 – 4:30 pm.
Omaha, Metro Community College, South Omaha Campus
Industrial Training Center (“ITC”) Building Conference Center
From I-80: Take Kennedy Freeway (Hwy. 75 South) to “Q” Street exit. Turn north on 27th Street then turn left onto Edward Babe Gomez Avenue. Park in the first lot if possible and use the west entrance to the ITC. The ITC is the first building on the east side of the three- building complex.

Lincoln, State Capitol Building, Judiciary Committee Hearing Room, Number 1113
First floor, State Capitol, South hall. Parking is limited around the Capitol.

The Committee has identified certain tax issues and potential options that could be used to address the issues. Please see the attached “Issues and Options List” for details. The Committee welcomes public comment on these issues and options, and on other tax issues the public would like to include in the discussion. The issues and options are not recommendations of the Committee but are intended to generate public comment. The Committee would like to hear comments on these issues and options, and on other tax matters of importance to Nebraskans.

The hearings will be recorded and transcribed. The Lincoln hearing will be live streamed on NET.
