Councilmember Chris Jerram, as Chair of the City Council Public Safety Committee, is announcing the Committee will hold a public forum on Monday, March 5, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. in the Legislative Chamber of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street. The forum will be an opportunity for Omaha citizens to provide input and feedback regarding policing issues in the city of Omaha. The Omaha Police Officers Association and Police Department management have also been invited to provide their input.

In announcing the forum , City Council Public Safety Committee Chairperson Chris Jerram stated that “the Public Safety Committee is holding this session to allow Omahans to come and tell us how they think we’re doing, both in terms of the positive,as well as in areas where citizens may believe we need to improve. Citizen input is important to their elected officials.”
This public forum will be the Public Safety Committee’s listening session.

Parking will be available on the street or in the public parking garage located on the northwest corner of 19th and Harney Streets (paid parking).
