Although Omaha librarians long have helped schoolchildren with homework, two Omaha Public Library branches now will offer dedicated staff and resources to assist these youths. The program is called Homework Hot Spots.
The Charles B. Washington Branch, 2868 Ames Ave., will offer help from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. The South Omaha Library, 2808 Q St., will offer help from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Apple iPads will be available for online resources.
