In December of 2011 , the NuStye Development Corporation received a grant from the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) which matched funds they had previously allocated to study the area in downtown Omaha, referred to by some as “The Federal District” (map of study area boundaries shown in pdf at bottom of article). The purpose of this planning process is to identify opportunities and target specific catalytic and new development projects that pay particular attention to equitable and quality housing within the neighborhood . This planning process will result in a Master Plan to guide the targeted implementation projects over the next 10 years. So, please come and help put a voice to your community by telling us what we can do to help your neighborhood!
